Touring paddles (19 products)
Kajakkimelat ovat kaksilapaisia ja pituudeltaan yleensä n. 190–240 cm pitkiä käyttäjästä ja käyttötarkoituksesta riippuen. Lapojen välinen kulma voi olla 0°–90°, yleisimmät retkimelat ovat 60 asteisia. Suomessa myydään pääosin "oikea kätisiä" meloja, koska suurion osa vasureistakin tottuu näihin todella nopeasti. Varsivaihtoehtoja on erilaisia, edullisimmat varret on alumiinistä joka on kestävä, mutta kylmä materiaali. Suositumpia varsimateriaaleja ovat lasikuitu tai lasikuidun, hiilikuidun ja kevlarin seokset. Melan varsi voi olla myös suora- tai mutkavarsinen (ns. Ergo varsi). Lapojen valmistuksessa käytettävien materiaalien kirjo on myös varsin laaja. Yleisimmät ovat puu, muovisekoitteet, lasi- ja hiilikuitu. Hyvänä yleismelana voi pitää 210–220 cm pitkää, n. 60 asteisella lapakulmalla varustettua melaa. Jokiretkeilyssä ja koskimelonnassa käytetään yleensä 200cm ja lyhyempiä meloja pienemmällä lapakulmalla. Welhonpesällä on maan kattavin valikoima meloja edullisesta perusmelasta kilpamelojien käyttämiin täyshiilikuitumeloihin.
