Koski- ja freestyle kajakit
Muihin kajakkityyppeihin verrattuna lyhyitä ja ketteriä suurimmaksi osaksi polyeteenistä valmistettuja malleja, jotka on suunniteltu koskivoittoiseen jokiretkeilyyn ja koskipuljaukseen.
Koskikajakit voi jakaa useaan eri kategoriaan joita ovat:
River Play kajakit ovat mainioita jokapaikan koskareita. Näillä laskee useimmat Suomen kosket ja lisäksi ne taipuvat helposti myös useimpiin freesyletemppuhin.
Park Play /Freestyle kajakit ovat puhtaita pelipaatteja. Koskareista lyhyimpiä ja parhaimillaan ne ovat freestyle temppuilussa, niin sileällä kuin aallossakin.
River Running/ Creek kajakit on tarkoitettu koskien ja putosten laskemiseen. Näillä ei freestyletemput onnistu, mutta varsinaesta koskenlaskusta saa enemmän irti ja paljon turvallisemmin.
River Tour / Cross River kajakit ovat jokiretkeilyyn suunniteltuja kajakkeja. Osa puhtaasti suunniteltu rauhallisemmille joille, osa taas Creekkereistä jalostettuja hybridejä, jossa tavaratila ja evä esim. järven selkien ylitykseen, mutta joilla laskee isompiakin koskia.
