The Viper 48 came to fill a gap between the Viper 51 and the Classic, a lot of paddlers felt the lack of volume on the classic created stability and use issues ( on choppy water), the Viper 48 mixes a good glide to a comfortable boat with enough volume to be used in all conditions.
